Retro Gaming in Mimas A7

How about we take a nostalgic trip back to the retro gaming era with the help of our Mimas A7 FPGA?

Here we are, Numato Lab introduces a straightforward gaming console that comes with a variety of retro games. In this blog, we will present a vintage gaming console featuring four games.

These games have been implemented on our Mimas A7 FPGA development board, which is one of our prestigious boards featuring an Artix-7 FPGA and renowned for its numerous peripherals. In this demonstration, we will make use of HDMI for video interfacing, DIP switches for  Game selection, and push buttons as control signals.

The four games currently integrated within the Mimas A7 FPGA development board are Yoshi’s Nightmare, Flappy Bird, Breakout, and Ping-Pong. We have provided three DIP switches for choosing different games, for a total of eight possible game selections.
